IPL 2022: Play-Offs Schedule Announced

The IPL 2022 playoffs have already been decided as a result of the 69th match of the season, which was performed at Wankhede Stadium on May 21, 2022, between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC).

The BCCI already stated that the 1st qualifier on May 24 and also the Eliminator match of the IPL 2022 playoffs on May 25 will be held at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, whereas the second qualifier on May 27 and also the tournament final will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 29.

The Gujarat Titans (GT) will face the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the first qualifier on Tuesday, May 24 in Kolkata

Gujarat Titans (GT) were the very first team to reach the playoffs, finishing first in the league stage and securing their place in the first qualifier. After defeating Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 18, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) became the second team to qualify for the playoffs.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) has become the third team to reach the playoffs after defeating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 20. With a greater net run rate, they surpassed LSG and ended second in the points table, securing their place in the IPL’s first qualifier.

The match will take place at the Eden Gardens under the lights of a full house. Gujarat Titans won ten matches in the league stage, while Hardik Pandya’s squad also came back from defeat to win several games.

They will play a well-oiled Rajasthan Royals team, who entered the first qualifier with a record of 9 victories in the league stage. The victor will advance directly to the finals on May 29, while the loser will face the winner of the second qualifying on May 27.

The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will face the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Eliminator on Wednesday, May 25

On May 25, the IPL 2022 Eliminator match will be held at Eden Gardens in Kolkata between both the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). While LSG was the second favorite team to make the playoffs, RCB advanced to the final four with the support of Mumbai Indians.

MI beat Delhi Capitals (DC) by 5 wickets in their last league encounter, pushing RCB into fourth place, despite DC finishing with only 14 points despite a higher net run rate.

The loser of this game will be eliminated from the IPL 2022 competition, while the winner will play the loser of a first qualifier in the next qualifying match on May 25 in Ahmedabad for a chance to compete in the finals.

On May 29, the winners of the first and second qualifiers will compete in the IPL 2022 finals.
